Abstract

Acute recurrent pancreatitis is a rare clinical manifestation of cystic fibrosis in children. Cystic fibrosis Trans membrane conduction regulator (CFTR) gene-associated diseases may further contribute to acute recurrent pancreatitis and chronic pancreatitis in children and young adults. Acute recurrent pancreatitis may be a symptom of cystic fibrosis, and a CFTR mutation variant that was not previously included in the literature has been reported.
